Small Business Highlight: Kelsey McArthur Employee Benefit Concepts
Kelsey McArthur of Employee Benefit Concepts (EBC) was introduced to me through my favorite networking group, Business Networking International. Our group meets every Tuesday, and Kelsey and I quickly connected as we both serve many commercial clients and specialize in insurance. She works in health and employee insurance as well as payroll services, so our business relationship quickly became a referral network since we are both in the same industry, just working on different types of insurance.
Kelsey is a young professional that has worked hard to get a jump start on her career in insurance. This month, I’m happy to feature Kelsey McArthur and Employee Benefit Concepts as my small business highlight.
Meet Kelsey McArthur
Kelsey has lived in Buffalo her entire life and started her career at EBC while pursuing her business and marketing degree at Buffalo State. Soon after graduating, she obtained her life accident and health license and started at EBC full time and has been there for the past 3 years.
Her favorite thing about the insurance industry is the opportunity to work with a variety of clients. “I like going into different clients from ice cream manufacturing firms to private catholic schools and having the opportunity to see how they work and get a peek into their world and see what they do.
A full service agency
The one thing that sets the EBC apart from other insurance agencies in payroll and benefits is the fact that they are a full service agency. “We offer health insurance, employee benefits packages and have two operating divisions, hr and payroll, so we act as a full service business solution,” Kelsey shared.
EBC assists with their clients entire employee base and helps manage their services and getting all employees insured. Like Kelsey had mentioned earlier, EBC works with a variety of different clients from manufacturing to religious institutions like churches and schools and they also do call centers.
Helping clients and the community succeed
Kelsey is very involved within the Buffalo community. She’s a part of Leadership Buffalo, BNI, Junior League of Buffalo, Junior Achievement and the Big Brother, Big Sister mentor program; it’s safe to say that she’s very involved in helping Buffalo succeed.
I’m happy to share Kelsey’s story and the services of EBC because I think it’s impressive when a young professional is as driven as she is to have a successful career at a company that offers unique services, all while keeping her community alive with volunteer work.
